Lodging
Additional possible sleeping arrangements will help accommodate not only more people but also people who like or need greater sleeping comfort, please consider the following ideas:
School Lodging
The location will remain the same as last year, Camp Castle Rock at 665 Little Basin Creek Road Butte, MT. It is a rustic camp with mountain weather, some rough terrain and some very basic cabins.
There are a few RV spots available (no hookups) RV spots are very limited and have to be approved by Gary Wolfe. All RV, car, or van type camping must be pre-
approved. Cabins, tent and RV spots are all covered in the camp fees.
Butte also has a KOA if you need hookups or have a large RV.
Hotel Information
Some people require different sleeping arrangements. For an additional fee you can make your own arrangements for a
hotel room in Butte, MT. Some to consider include: Copper Kings Hotel ($199/night) Wingate ($133/night) and many others. Reservations and payment are the individual's responsibilities. When room blocks were investigated no real discounts were available beyond online sites.
We also would encourage you to look into an AIRBNB or VRBO with a group or another family.

School FAQ
We look forward to seeing you all & please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or concerns!
Are pets allowed?
If you have a pet that is preventing you from being able to attend the school, please reach out to the committee and we will help you to find a suitable solution. Please do not bring any pets without discussing it with the committee.
Are cell phones allowed?
Upon arrival please tuck cell phones away. We are striving to create a "haven." During class, free and other times please practice responsible cell phone usage. If you are a parent of a child, junior youth or youth please discuss and plan what mindful, respectful and responsible use will look like while at Summer School.
Keep in mind cell service is spotty in the mountains.
Is participation required?
Yes! Please be aware that this is a participant service run school. There is no staff at camp. All cooking, as well as all cleaning of all the facilities, are our group's responsibility. Upon check-in you will be placed with a team of others for service duties to be completed throughout our time together at school.
What are the cabin facilities like?
There is power to the cabins, but no water, and the cabins have heat but no cooling.
There are two bathhouses, with men’s and women’s toilets and shower facilities.
